The Vineyard was established in 2003 and has a strong following for both wines and ports - an annual Jazz in the Vineyard is held in September and a Country music day in October. The Vineyard has a focussed approach to mildew management using ecological agents to control mildew - the rows are wider apart, the vines are twice the normal distance apart and a cordona nd spur training and pruning technique is used.
