We can provide all levels of logistical support, from designing your entire experience including program, food and transport to simply providing you with a fantastic venue. Bush Adventure Camp at Maroon’s specialty is the adventure journey. Each activity is paired with its own campsite scattered across the 270 hectare property, allowing small groups to hike from activity to activity while remaining independent. Bush Adventure Camp at Maroon provides safe and risk managed facilities for people of all ages, levels of ability and socio—economic backgrounds. We can facilitate the personal growth of individuals, groups, classes and teams through enhanced experiences to suit all ages and levels. Bush Adventure Camp at Maroon is located in the pristine Scenic Rim region, 90 minutes’ drive south west of Brisbane. Mount Barney World Heritage Area provides a backdrop and the placid waters of Lake Maroon are close by. We have a great variety of activities located on the Bush Adventure Camp property and available for your use: • Superb natural rock climbing of four grades; • Three magnificent abseiling areas; • Bushwalking tracks: from an hour to a week, from 4WD road to totally trackless wilderness; • Orienteering and rogaining courses including one on Lake Maroon; • Four flying foxes: • Two across a dam; • One @ 120m long and • One @ 485m long – the longest in the southern hemisphere; • Tyrolean traverse initiative exercise; • Low ropes; • High ropes; • Our unique water challenge course; • Canoeing and bird watching on Lake Maroon; • Mountain Bike riding; To make your visit even easier, our services include the ability to hire out a comprehensive range of camping and expedition gear: • Lightweight backpacks: 60 litre adjustable models; • Hiking tents: 2- and 3-person versions available; • Cooking equipment for both base camp and expeditions: gas and solid fuel cookers; full range of pots, frypans, plates, mugs and cutlery; BBQs (on site use only) and camp ovens. • Tarps, “hootchies” and shelters; • UHF radio sets and 1st Aid kits (on site use only).
