Zest Fest Uncovers Beechmont's Hidden Businesses
Zest Fest - a celebration of local food, health, and creativity at Beechmont on June 26 - is the only way to see some of the amazing businesses and enterprises operating out of this hinterland community in the Scenic Rim.
While Beechmont boasts over 100 emerging and established local businesses, this community has no main street or village centre.
So the annual Zest Fest, on Sunday June 26 is the only way to introduce locals and visitors to the beautiful businesses of Beechmont.
From 10am June 26 at the new community hall at Graceleigh Park, Zest will spring into life with market stalls, cooking and gardening demonstrations, food tastings, a sampler yoga class, massage treatments, live music, craft displays and Zest sample bags to showcase the wonders of Beechmont’s creative community.
Beechmont Business & Enterprise Network (BBEN) president Sally MacKinnon said “Beechmont is home to an amazing array of very talented musicians, crafters, foodies, gardeners and health and wellbeing practitioners.
“It’s time to let everyone know about the beautiful businesses and emerging enterprises that operate on Beechmont and celebrate their fantastic skills, services and goodies.
“BBEN’s mission is to promote local businesses and showcase our local economy and Zest Fest is the perfect way to do this – through a mid-winter celebration when local citrus is ripe in the local orchards.
“This year, the colours and flavours of citrus will be woven throughout Zest Fest and everyone involved will include something citrusey in their market stalls, samples, demonstration classes and workshops.
Locals and visitors are invited to Zest Fest on Sunday June 26 between 10am and 3pm (gates open at 9.30am) at the Hall on Graceleigh, 1922 Beechmont Rd, Beechmont. Entry is $10 per adult (cash only) and children are free. Free activities will be running all day.
