One of the Scenic Rim’s most brilliant annual events turns 5 years old in 2010. It’s the Drumley Walk which honours local hero Billy Drumley, who during the early 1900s regularly walked between Beaudesert and Southport to visit his family.

Since 2005, the Yugambeh Aboriginal Language Museum has organised the annual Drumley Walk. In 2010 it will begin on Thursday August 12 at Beaudesert and end with a Yugambeh Corroboree on Sunday August 15 in Southport.
