Beechmont Landcare is hosting an information night about the Geology of the Beechmont Plateau on Wednesday 1 June between 7pm to 8:30pm at the Beechmont Community Hall.
Leading geological expert Warwick Willmott will give a locally-focused presentation on the geology of the Beechmont Plateau and surrounds, including:
- how the plateau and surrounding areas were formed
- identification of the various geological features of the plateau
- general introduction to the different rocks and soils
- landslip and stability of the area.

Warwick Willmott is the author of Rocks and Landscapes of the Gold Coast Hinterland (and many other books on geology), and a committee member Geological Society of Australia, Queensland Division.
