Adrian Smith, Waste Coordinator for Scenic Rim Regional Council recently collated the figures about our region’s recycling efforts in 2010-11. During this time, we recycled:
  • 7,805 litres of waste oil
  • 5158 tonnes (15,475m³) of green waste
  • 1,966 waste tyres
  • 2,755 tonnes of household recycling
  • 1,167 tonnes of scrap metal
  • 907 refrigeration units had (harmful) gas removed
  • 223 tonnes of glass recycled
  • 230 tonnes of cardboard recycled
