Owner Rachel said “Reusing as much of the old and looking for recycled materials to use in all of the creations is the key to making a unique piece of furniture, home décor piece or even clothing.
“It’s a bit of fun creating each piece and it’s often the weirdest pieces that are the best,” she said.
Some of the more unique pieces in store at the moment include a 1960s water ski student desk, a reclaimed snowboard bench seat and a reclaimed carpenter’s tool box recycled to make a unique coffee table.
Rachel’s philosophy is mirrored in the way each piece is created. “I’ve thrown out the instruction manuals in order to create furniture pieces that are not only functional but one-of-a-kind, unique pieces of art.
“Slight imperfections mean these items have been made by hand and I hope that people find it reassuring to know each piece that’s been created is unique and never to be repeated,” Rachel said.
