Living in the Scenic Rim: Your Guide to Sustainable Property Management

Scenic Rim Region Council partnered with South East Queensland Catchments to launch the ‘Living in the Scenic Rim: Your Guide to Sustainable Property Management’ publication at the recent Beaudesert Show.

The guide has been developed to increase landholders’ knowledge and uptake of sustainable land management practices.

Mayor John Brent said the guide aims to assist Scenic Rim landholders to manage their rural property with a focus on sustainability.

“‘Living in the Scenic Rim: Your Guide to Sustainable Property Management’ provides information on the natural resources within the Scenic Rim and how they can be managed at a property level”.

Simon Warner, CEO of SEQ Catchments said the brochure highlights a range of resources to assist landholders.

“’Living in the Scenic Rim’ is an excellent first point of call for landholders looking for information on land management, be they commercial farmers, hobby farmers, or lifestylers”.

“Sustainable management starts at the property level, and SEQ Catchments has a range of programs, practical tools and incentives which can further assist landholders”.

The publication was launched at the Beaudesert Show on 3 and 4 September and copies are now available from the Beaudesert Library.
