Scenic Rim Community Plan released

Scenic Rim Community Plan released

Date:
01 December 2011

| CategoryNews
After almost 12 months of community consultation, Council approved the Scenic Rim Community Plan 2011 - 2026 at its meeting on 22 November 2011. Now that it has been adopted by Council the Community Plan provides a shared vision for the region’s future and will guide Council and community action on issues including environment, economic development, social well-being and community infrastructure.

Many thousands of residents, visitors, businesses and community organisations helped shape the Community Plan. There have been clear messages from our community on issues including the importance of protecting the region’s environment and rural lifestyle, the need for improved roads, public transport and community consultation.

Based on this community input, the Community Plan incorporates outcomes that describe what we want our community to be like. It also outlines priorities that Council, other levels of government and the community must focus on to achieve the vision.

To obtain a copy of the Scenic Rim Community Plan phone Council on (07) 5540 5111 or visit www.scenicrim.qld.gov.au.
