Goat Track Theatre Company is a professional theatre company dedicated to the creation of quality drama and theatre experiences for children and young people. Funded by local, state and national funding bodies, Goat Track has a national reputation for excellence in youth arts.
On Tuesday afternoons/evening Goat Track will provide drama classes to children aged 6-12 years. Goat Track Kids is an initiative that will enable children to do challenging classes with drama/theatre professionals within a safe and supportive environment.
On Wednesday evening the company will be working with young people 15-25 years on a new work titled “The Well”. Young people are invited to participate in performance, technical, backstage, writing and all sorts of other areas.

 

BADCAP – Beaudesert & District Community Arts Project

BADCAP delivered the Beaudesert 2008 International Sculpture Symposium and continues to coordinate the Arts in the Olives Festival at Worendo Olive Grove, Lost World.

Organised by BADCAP and the Lost World Valley community. This festival aims to increase the awareness of the positive effects of creative activity in everyday lives. The festival includes artisan stalls, food, workshops, music, art market, childrens workshops, entertainment and arts demonstrations.

  • Arts Dinner Series 2010

Arts Dinners are held every two months to stimulate the creative industry in the Scenic Rim. This is a free but sustainable event – BYO plate for communal dining.

  • Studios of the Scenic Rim

Artists of the Scenic Rim open their studio doors to the public so you can experience the artists at work. Every weekend in May 2010 – Mt Barney, Canungra, Boonah, Beechmont, Tamborine Mountain, Lost World.

  • Boonah & District Cultural Centre

The Boonah & District Cultural Centre is located at 3 High St in Boonah. It is open Tuesdays to Fridays, 9am-4pm. It is a multi-functional complex for the community and includes: library including archives; art gallery; entry and concourse; cinema, theatre, auditorium, function/meeting rooms, kitchen, bar, rest rooms and conference facilities and equipment. ArtStart grants are provided to fund services, resources and activities that help graduate artists to build an income-generating career in the arts practice they have studied.

 

Arts Queensland Grant – Career Development

Up to $5,000 to assist artists and arts workers to pursue professional development opportunities that hone their craft and expand their horizons at national and international levels.

 

Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF)

RADF is a Queensland Government and Scenic Rim Regional Council partnership to support local arts and culture. Funding is available for professional development, workshops, research, and arts and cultural projects focusing on community, heritage and tourism. The major grant round for 2010 will open in August for projects that commence after December 1 through into 2011. Quick Response Grants Program

A small pool of funds is available for Quick Response grant applications of up to $1500. There is no closing date for Quick Response grant applications. To apply, complete the standard RADF application form in accordance with the RADF guidelines
